Track laying / Joining Problems

I have been adding my own tracks to the Holiday Express and I'm customizing it to my liking, however I am running into problems with joining tracks and attaching tracks to turntables and or traverses. What am I doing wrong and what bullet buttons should I be using when I'm trying to attach two Rail-End Devices together, and when I do the other end becomes another abutment! RWAR Frusterating!

How do I connect these two Rail-End Devices without creating another Rail End devices on the other end?

Like the picture below, I am having problems connecting the turntable tracks to existing track, what am I doing wrong?

I will appreciate the responses, thanks y'all!

perfect timing. I've been meaning to ask those questions myself.

If you turn on the button in the bottom left side of the screen, that looks like a magnet and a track, that is snap to track feature. I've used it a few times, you can either join it ahead of the track to make a junction, therefore you tracks being welded into one section, or if you are able to line it up correctly, you can click from the turntable to the other track and it should join that up perfectly. I can post pictures if you need them.

To add to Unlimited's post: Lay track from the turntable to the yard track instead of the other way around. Then cut where the track joins, delete the excess and weld in place. :D

I tried that, but I am still getting the same results with numerous rail-end bumpers and whole whack of weirdness happening.

Why didn't TS2015 make it more easier for us, it makes a simple thing like connecting two pieces of track more complicated.
I even watched Youtube tutorials and they didn't help much either. LOL, I must be getting old.

Is the entire area where you want to join the track at exactly the same height?

It's just a question of geometry:
First build a slight curve to the left (view from the turntable, then some meters straight ahead.
On the straight track you can play connecting to the other track.
