Is there a way to fix the missing coupler? The train will run, but the engine bucks when starting.

Thanks,

Rob :D

I released fixes for these. They're not live at the file library yet, but you can probably google them and find them on my mediafire page.

I downloaded your fix from mediafire, and installed as directed.

However, the Amfleet cars I have are from the Northeast Corridor. The cars are staying together, but the couplers aren't visible. **!!bang!!**

What am I missing here?

Thanks,

Rob :)

That's interesting. You should use your steam client to uninstall the dlc and re-install it. then re-apply my mods. Let me know if that works.

I tried a re-install, and still no couplers.

I noticed your mod includes buckeye_default_coupling.bin & buckeye_default_coupling.xml in the couplings folder. The original folder doesn't include these files. Any relation to our problem?

Rob :)

do you have a .ap file in the outer directory? those bin and xml files should be in there. if they're not then that's your problem.

I believe the NEC route was issued before .ap files were in use.

In any case, I use RW Tools to unpack the .ap files.

Are you saying the bin and xml files would be inside the .ap file?

Whats the link to view all the files on your media fire page? I see the YouTube links, but those just show the certain files, not everything that's listed, is there a way to see everything?

Here's how to use FanRailer's fix for the NEC Amfleet cars when you don't own the Acela HHP-8 set:

The folder references in the corrected bin files all refer to the Acela HHP-8 set, hence they won't work with the NEC Amfleet cars.

Using RW tools, I changed the folder references in the bin files to NorthEastCorridor. The couplers are now back, and there's no space between cars. !!*ok*!!

Thanks here go to FanRailer for taking the time. *!!thnx!!* **!!bow!!**

Glad you figured it out.

Just keep in mind that I did release 3 separate coupler fixes for all three editions of the Amfleet car (original NEC amfleet, ACS-64 amfleet, and HHP-8 amfleet). So it'll be easier if you just download the pack that is specifically for the DLC you own.

I didn't realize there were three editions.

Could you send me a PM with the NEC and ACS-64 links?

Thanks,

Do you know where I can find information about this coupler fix?
There is a mention in the first thread about an upload to the file library but I cannot find it.

I'm having the problem with the New York - New Haven Amfleet coaches where there is a very big gap between the coaches.

Thanks

Hi Peter:

You can send Fan Railer a PM, and he'll give you the information.

Try looking at You Tube for his videos, which also have the links you need.

Thanks Rob,

I will look for the videos as I'm new here and might not be able to PM people yet.

Cheers
