Alerter (Request Acknowledgement)

Unread postby Angelo » Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:49 am

Hey guys, I know it has been discussed and that almost, if not all US rolling stock does not come with an alerter audible cue.

Is it possible to alias an audio file that is the appropriate alerter tone to the locomotives? I can see when (F3) is displayed the yellow (!) light up when the alerter in theory should be chiming away requesting the engineer acknowledge it. Pressing Q or adjusting the controls will stop it, but It would be nice to have a tone so we don't have to have that up all the time.

I notice the Cab Cars for LA commuter, Surfliner, and Coaster don't have this issue, so maybe it can be disabled as well?

Any ideas guys?

Is what I am asking unfeasible? It doesn't seem like anybody has input on this.
