What is this code?

Unread postby nsdville » Sat Oct 11, 2014 2:08 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I have been trying to find out why an older sound pack was not working. I opened a file which had a file path that resembled this: "kuju/what does this mean/[00]sounds great". What does "[00]" indicate? I know a file path with periods such as (/.../find root/liver is yummy) dictates movement in the file direction. What does [00] tell the program to look for? !*hp*!

The numbers between the brackets indicate if there are any additional parameters on the file. In the case of sounds, I believe the path will always contain '00', whereas shape files may contain numbers to indicate whether or not to use seasonal textures.

In short, ignore the brackets.
Cheers!
