Secondly the firemans seems to be on strike! any help appreciated!

I am not sure what you are talking about with the fireman being on strike. Kick his butt out and get someone else. !*roll-laugh*! Seriously what specifically is the problem.

I'm not sure why the whistle doesn't work. Look and see if this is there. Railworks\Assets\Britkits\Steam\Audio\Steam\2-8-8-2\the file's name there is SPCF_Whistleloop.wav and bgn and end.

We'll go from there in solving this problem,

Might be that expert controls / manual fire is enabled. I made that error once with Mike's Connie and wondered why I drifted to a halt **!!bang!!**

OK, the file is not there, apparently he aliases the whistle to the Black 5, and it's a .dav file, I will try the suggestion about the fireman. BTW I am going to buy his logging locos, are they narrow gauge? ( I think every girl ought to have at least one Climax) !*drool*!

Hi Cathy and welcome to our dysfunctional little family...

No Climaxes from Dick unfortunately, just a herd of Shays :D All standard gauge; but see if you can get hold of Bumbleberry Logging if you dont already have it (I think it might still be available here (it does have a few dependencies though) - it was a reworking of the Tori's COA route logging extension by one of the users here that seems to have gone off to other things, LiberatorB24) A wonderful place and worth the effort to acquire if you can...

!*cheers*!

Thanks, I shall try. I actually wanted a Climax, because my Maternal Grandfather owned a coal mine on the West Coast of the South Island, and my mother used to driv e the mine loco, a 3" gauge climax. Diurng the War she left school early and worked at Greymouth Roundhouse prepping engines and driving them up to the yard to couple to their trains!.
