Have you tried just restarting TS2015 instead of rebooting?

That sounds like your audio driver is crashing, which is an odd thing these days. Can you look at the Windows Event Log and see if any system event error are listed?

I have noticed an audio glitch, not a major bug but it Is audible, perhaps only in the menu areas.

Sounds you should hear are all audible and no problem. What I do hear when moving around menus is when it should be silent, I can hear a quiet medium to higher frequency 'noise' that does change a bit as windows change. I think it is mainly from the center-right area but hard to pinpoint but that's where I sort of hear it. If I move closer to the right speaker though, it seems to disappear.

It is associated with 2015, not with 2014 or any other games or programs I use.

It looks like you have a ton of Warning too.

You need to find an error or warning which happened at the time when you launched TS 2015 and the audio cut out.

What audio hardware do you have? Is it a dedicated sound card, or is onboard?

Hi Narada

When you say audio works once after a reboot, are you referring to the RailWorks' sound or all system sounds once only? Example, after the sound has died in RailWorks, can you hear audio if you play music or a video?

If it is RailWorks only, it's probably a RailWorks issue rather than a device driver problem. Hard to offer suggestions until this question is answered.

I just had this happen. Try adjusting your audio settings (i.e. turning menu music on or off). Save the changes and restart TS. Do you have sound or do you still need to restart your machine?

Ok, next suggestion.

Enabl the menu music, (annoying but it is sound)
With it running properly, i.e. sound working, ALT-Tab to get to the desktop.
Sound should continue.
In the notification area (bottom-right) click the speaker icon and select mixer button below the device that should be giving sound (in my current case, the speaker, not the TV).
Among others, you will probably see Train Simulator 2015. Tinkering with that slider should affect the music volume.

This is the baseline to follow with the next sequence.

Stop and restart the simulator.
Move to the same menu you were at before but I assume no sound now.
Alt-Tab to the desktop and look at the same speaker item as before.
Is Train Simulator 2015 there and is it perhaps at 0 or muted (red slash-O showing)? Try increasing the volume if you hear nothing

That's all I can think of for now. Do you have any other Steam games? If so do they have this sound problem? If so, it's probably a Steam problem on your computer.
