TS2015 recognition of pre-2015 standard scenarios

Unread postby gwgardner » Thu Sep 18, 2014 4:13 pm

I know this can't be answered now. I'll wait for some of you gurus to figure things out if I can't. Just wanted to give a headsup on something I've noticed with TS 2015

It's not recognizing many of my routes when attempting to drive standard scenarios. For example, it doesn't recognize my Cimarron & Pacific standard scenarios, and thus does not allow that route to be selected when wanting to drive standard scenarios.

Must be some marker or change to scenarios.

Something is definitely wonky - the routes do show up in the Build menu for me, but I'm definitely having issues with a lot of workshop and 3rd party route scenarios not being recognized.

I can confirm what robbit said. The scenarios are there under standard - just don't select a route first.

That's a pain, when you have a lot of routes and scenarios. Also, how do you resume a saved session? I can't find a way to do that in the interface anywhere.

Click on the "Resume" button at lower right.

Use the search option, it works decently.

Watch that resume button. It will not be playing the one you think it is. It play which ever one is high lighted in the menu. You have to select the scenario you want to resume first, then click the resume button.

Hmmm...if the resume button shows up for more than one scenario, does that mean we can save and resume multiple scenarios now? I didn't even see that resume button because of the grayed-out gray on gray, which it seems to be for all scenarios. I have it for the one I saved, but will save another to test if I can save and resume both.

As for using the search function, it's as much of a pain since it doesn't list all scenarios when I search for a specific route. It will only show scenarios for the loco in the select box and there's no way to empty that box that I can find. I have 29 pages of loco thumbnails. It is a huge pain to search a route and the browse through all those pages for a loco that might be in scenarios for that route. What was wrong with the old UI?

A person always could save and resume multiple scenarios. You just went to the scenario in the menu and clicked on it, then when it asked you if you want to resume, a person clicked "yes".
The "Resume" button that was on the main menu, only resumed the most recent save.
