RWA_RS11 SOMETHING MISSING

Wondering what I'm missing?
I just downloaded the RWA RS11 loco and it looks beautiful but It won't couple to any other cars.
Maybe I need more geopcdx files.
Any idea on what is missing?

Thanks,
Bob

I have the same problem with the normal RS11. I was able to connect the engine to my consist by manually backing into the cars and clicking the Knuckle-Coupler icon you get when you hover over the actual couplers. A bit weird, I know, but it worked when I tried it.

Not sure what causes the problem though, hope what worked for me works for you.

Well, I hadn't actually used it after I was finished with the repaint! *!embar*!
I just now put some cars on the track and was able to couple to them with no problem.
I did have the same problem as AdmiralLeviathan on a few scenarios with the PRR RS-11. I eventually got them to couple but I don't remember how.
You shouldn't need any other geopcdx files. Have you tried with different cars?
Maybe someone else has an idea on how to fix this. !*don-know!*

I did try several different cars and had the same results.
I will try what the AdmralLeviathan suggest and see how that works.
You did a great job with this repaint thank you for your work.
I will see if this trick works and report back here.
Thanks,
Bob

No luck again. I loaded several different cars on several tracks and couyld not couple to any of them.
These cars are all from different creators.
Now I will try it with the original engine.

Ok tried other locos with the same cars and they coupled ok.
Before I tried this I used the original Lehigh Valley RS11 and found that it did not couple to these same cars, Maybe something is wrong with these geopcdx files.????
!*don-know!*

If you use the HUD there should be a coupler icon beside the 2d map. You can use that to couple your train when you back into it or set handbrakes with it.

Thanks guys
I used the coupler symbol in the 2d Map and the both engines coupled using that method.
This is the first time I have ever used that symbol to couple up trains.
This must be something new for these engines.

Anyhow thanks for everyones help.
Bob

Not all rolling stock has the same coupler height, that can be a problem also. The engine and the rolling stock have to match in height or they won't couple.

Yes I understand about coupler heights, But the example I was using the rolling stock and engines were already used before in a route that I had setup and used many times without any problems.
This was a free roam scenario I have used many times.
So something must have been changed. Way over my head *!lol!*
No problem for me as long as I can use the engines.

Maybe the RS11's coupler are too high or low eh?

Some scenarios "disable" the automatic coupler so you have use the manual method. I guess that you checked that automatic coupler was set in TS2014?

What cars are you having a problem with? I tried a few and they all worked.

I did not run the engine in a regular scenario. I loaded it on my own version of a test track that I use to try out repaints and make up Consists to save.
I always run new downloads or payware on this route only just to test them out and see how they look.
And I had no idea that some scenarios shut off the automatic couple feature. Learn something new everyday on this forum!

Again thanks to you all for your help.
