Does anyone know how to extend the duration that the Horn_End.wav file plays? I have a nice horn sound but the sound cuts out before the wav file completes. In other words, it cuts out just when the echo part starts. This is not an issue with Horn_Start, or Horn_Loop. Those files play properly. The Horn_End does play, just not long enough. How do I adjust this timer?

I've had this issue too, especially with the newer ES44 locos. I've not been able to solve it yet. So...it's not just you.

Hey Montana,
I see we looked into this back in January, I'm currently trying to fix the Stevens Pass EX-BN GP38-2 horn. I found something interesting, and wonder if you could try the same thing on your ES44, and let me know what you find. Here's the test:
Rename the Horn_Loop.wav file to Horn_Loop1.wav. This way it won't play. Then go into the game and sound the horn. Does your Horn_End play when you release the spacebar, and does it still cut off?
Then while still in the game, press the spacebar to play the Horn_Start, then release, then immediately press the spacebar again. Do you hear both the Horn_Start and the remainder of the Horn_End (the part that normally gets cut off) simultaneously?
That's what I get. Just curious if you get the same.

First test, yes, it still cuts off.
Second test, very interesting. I do get almost exactly that - except I wouldn't say that the two play at the same time, but more like back to back. It almost sounds like the Horn_Start begins to play briefly but then gets truncated and the Horn_End is playing all the way through. But yes, the Horn_End does completely play! Hmm...

Hmmm Indeed. A real pisser if you ask me.
It might have something to do with instance groups. Just a guess. I'll keep messing with it over the weekend. Thanks for the test.
