Okay, this is only remotely associated with Railworks, but for some days now I have not been able to access the Paypal.com website. All I get is a "problem loading page" error. I've searched my computer for an e-mail address for PayPal, but can't find one. I've tried accessing their site from both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Is anyone else at this forum having this problem? If so, have you been able to resolve it?

Working fine for me.
Try it after disabling your antivirus/firewall.

When prompted, log into your account to receive the phone # and call authorization code:

Works fine for me as well, Tom. https://www.paypal.com/home I do notice a huge, new advertisement they didn't have running a while back. If you have an ad blocker that could be causing your issue. (altho my AdBlockPlus allows this ad from PP)

Thanks for the suggestions and links, but none of them work for me. I'm currently in Italy, so getting a cal from the U.S. isn't in the cards, either. I've also tried to access PayPal.it, but can't get access there, either. On July 10, I was able to purchase the Ladysmith route from Steam, using my PayPal account. Curious.

Double check lan settings and make sure that a proxy or other attempt of malware isn't trying to hijack your sessions.

I've unfortunately have had that happen before.

Although I've been using computers for many years, I have no idea how to check "lan" settings or even what "lan" means. Hope you can tell me more.

An internet search turned up an e-mail address for PayPal, so I sent them a note about my problem. Their auto-response came quickly, but reminded me of those we typically receive from a certain railroad simulator. Each "solution" they offered involved going to their website, this even though I had written quite clearly that I could not open their gushipushaloomer website in the first place.

It's looking more and more like I'll just have to wait until I return to the States and can contact them by telephone.

LAN is a Local Area Network. If you and your wife shared a router for your computors that's a LAN.

Easiest way to check -


Open Internet Explorer
Select the Gear in the right hand corner
Near the Bottom of the menu, select Internet Options
Select Connections from the tabbed window that should appear
Select Local Area Network (LAN) settings

Unless you've deliberately have set something, everything should be both blank and no check boxes selected.

Thanks for the instructions. Everything is blank and no check boxes are selected, so I assume that means that my problem is not being caused by LAN settings.
