Never saw that before, sounds like it might be a Steam problem. Probably need to talk to them and I would wait until after the holiday to do that cause you will wait anyway.

You could also try the old routine of verifying the game cache integrity in the steam library. Or you may have to reinstall steam. Someone else may have other suggestions.
