Where is the keyboard shortcuts file?

Unread postby Tuddley3 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 3:21 am

I'm running TS2014 on a lappy temporarily until I can build a new computer. For some reason the F keys don't work in the simulator, so I can't use certain functions, especially turning on wagon numbers. I'm currently on a Sherman Hill scenario and I can't find a string of cars because I cannot turn on the numbers either in the map view or outside view. !*hp*! **!!bang!!**

From the main menu choose "Settings" then "Controls" make sure "Mouse/Keyboard" is selected. Start the scenario then press the "Esc" "Escape" key. Then select the Keyboard Layout button, this should list the enabled keys. I do not see anything in the 2014 User Manual that indicates how you would change a keyboard key assignment.

That just shows you the default keys. I need the file that controls those keys so I can manually change them. I doubt that the F7 shortcut is located within the loco files as it's not a loco function I'm looking for.

Why post this issue in two different places? See my answer to your first Post.

EDIT: now that you say you use a laptop, which you didn't say in your other Post, that's a common problem with them. You can plug in a USB keyboard and it will work fine until you get your desktop. (you also didn't say none of the "F" keys work, just F7)

The only F keys that work are the one that turns the HUD on and off and Save Scenario.
