SOO 6367

Unread postby Whatzizname » Mon Apr 21, 2014 8:17 pm

So I tried making the SD60M, Didn't work, So I am going to try something which is much easier apparently
I am going to reskin the default SD40-2 to be based off Soo Line Bandit 6367

It will look something like this, But without the Beacon. And no I do not have the Marias Pass SD40-2 Pack, Thats why there is no Beacon.

EDIT!!!

So I have got the locomotive to appear in the menus and it appears as the default Black SD40 (name SOO 6367)
But whenever I place it in game or quick drive it, This happens
According to the game, The locomotive is between the Cabooses

There are many more qualified people here at RWA than I, but I'll try to help you (plus I learn something too).

1) I think there are a couple of developers who make a SD40. Whos default SD40 you are using? (Kuju, RSC, Joe Blow's Trains...)
2) Do you have RW Tools?

Without RWTools which I seem to remember you have, you probably renamed the folder to your SOO but didn't redo the bin file. You need to rename it in the bin file. All the stuff in your new folder can stay black whatever but inside the bin it needs to be called what your new SOO folder is named otherwise the game can't find your new texture.

I am using the Kuju SD40, and yes I used RWtools to rename it.

So look in the bin file and see if it's renamed in there.

I Looked in the Engine File, and it turns out there was 2 Bin files and it was reading off the wrong one, The locomotive now appears in game.

That's pretty impressive troubleshooting, Buzz!

Whatzizname - Will you be sharing that SOO? It's a good looking rig (if it has some weathering).

I will be putting this locomotive on the file library.
I thought you guys may want a few old SOO locomotives to run on the Canadian Mountain pass.
