Google Overlay

Google overlay stopped working for me this morning. Last I used it was yesterday and all was well. I returned to the same area to work and I get blue circles, but no maps (circles quit unusually fast). Thinking I may have reached my daily limit, I also tried adding an API key, but without success. Anyone else have issues or know of something else I can check?

Same thing for me. I´m checking the cache files, just in case. I´ll let you know if it works.

Progress on my route is temporarily halted, luckily I've finished the trackwork on the main drag for now.

It stopped working for me also. But I had been using the overlay without an API Key - I wasn't registered with Google and left the API Key setting blank in the TS2014 Setup. So I tried registering with Google, getting a key, and entering it in the TS2014 Setup. Now the Google Maps Overlay is working.
So for me, to get it working, I had to switch from an anonymous user to a registered user.
The procedure is outlined here: http://www.trainsimulatornews.com/2013/ ... train.html Google has changed a couple of things. Look for 'Credentials' , ' Create New Key', 'Browser Key', leave the form empty and click 'Create'.

It didn't work at first, but thinking the copy and paste from browser into TW somehow reformatted the text, I copied from Google console to Notepad, and then copied from there into the field within RW. Now all is well again! :)

Is getting an API key likely to result in Google charging you, if they decide you are using in excess of the free limit or inadvertently go over same? I never bothered with the API as (up to now) the feature worked perfectly adequately without.

25k images is the API daily limit (10k without). Me thinks you would need to be a route-superman to reach that.
