Hey everyone.

I am having a bit of difficulty with the Cimmaron & Pacific Route. Every time I try to load the route, I get this error:

"Railworks.exe has stopped working and needs to close."

I have tried looking for answers, but I have found none. Any help would be appreciated. !*don-know!*

Noel.

Third party route? have you ever run that check for the "PONtrack.bin" issue? There's a Thread about it here somewhere. The other stuff to do would be clear cache, and verify game files.

I have verified the cache multiple times. No luck.

I tried deleting the PONtrack.bin files, all of them. It started to load, but then the screen went black, and it had an error about saving a dump file. !*don-know!*

I uninstalled and reinstalled and the route worked.

Get RWTools and run a route check on it after instlaling. Make sure you have all the required freeware packages installed, especially the UKTrainsim Freeware Pack Terrain Textures. Without that the route won't load up properly. The route will load without the Phorum Penninsula installed (no longer available) - without that you lose the narrow gauge track and some scenery items. The narrow gauge track is just eye candy.

After I got rid of the PONtrack thingy and ran Bob Lattimer's tutorial for getting third party routes to run I have had no issues with Gary's route. Bob L's. tutorial is a powerful tool that everyone needs to run whenever you have a problem with a third party route.
