How do u add a locomotive zip file to ts 2014 such as the ones in the file library and I dont know how to unzip either

As it appears nobody else is helping you.

The way I do it.

Step 1: If it's an .rwp file, I just copy it.

Step 2: Paste it outside the zipped up file.

Step 3: Run TS Utilities *It may be a good idea to make a desktop shortcut so it's easy to get to in the future.*

Step 4: Click on the Package Manager tab.

Step 5: Click the large Install button.

Step 6: Install the .rwp file.


*Please Note* .zips are different from .rar and .7zip. these need a special program that I will have to find a link to when I get time.

You may also run into RW_AssetSetup. Now this you just run the program to your TS 2014 file and hit install. Let it run till it says the item has been installed, then run it again to make sure it downloads everything.

Also, most if not all downloads require you to copy and paste the .GeoPcDx files of the locomotives or cars. Instructions of how to do so are in the Read_Me file that should be in the folder.

Generally you can just open a zipped file by double-clicking on it. It will stay zipped, that's why I copy and paste the .rwp file outside the file. What type of computer do you have? PC, Mac, etc?

Right click and say extract all will unzip also. Operating system?

So all u need is the rwp file within the zip file??

Usually you need two files from the .zip:
1- the Readme file, which will tell you how to install the new locomotive;
2- the rwp file, which is the install package for TS2014.

Extract those two files to your desktop, read the Readme file for instructions.
Usually you install a rwp by running the "Utilities.exe" program in your Railworks folder, like Antwerp explains in his first post.
