Problems coupling to rolling stock??

I'm noticeing just recently that when I add a new engine to a free roam scenario that after I start the scenario and go to couple to the existing rolling stock the cars do not couple. I did this a few times with no luck. I then added another engine to the same scenario and that engine also would not couple.
I just had to reinstall the game and I have did a file check. Is this problem that anyone else has noticed? This has happened on different routes so I'm kind of puzzled. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bob

Is this problem occurring with RSC provided stock? Have you done any mods to your railworks files - ie 3rd party sounds, couplers etc? When you reinstalled RW, did you start clean in an empty folder, or did you reinstall over top of a previous installation?

Thanks for the reply it was a clean new install.
Problem was solved by another kind person (kurabess) on the Steam forum.
On the start page in Settings there is an option to turn on or off coupling and that was my problem. It was turned off although I have no idea how.
Reset the option and now all is back to normal.
First time I ever ran into ths problem.
