I don´t think DTG is 100% sure at this time, what is causing those OoM crashes.

But there is quite clear that whatever they introduced in TS2020 code and was not in TS2019, is causing all these issues. **!!bang!!**

There is only a small minority with this issue and DTG cannot replicate it on any of their computers which they have quite a lot of so, of course, they don't know what's causing it. Stands to reason doesn't it?. I actually think that this thread should be locked as everything has been said that needs to be said.

I do not agree with such a minority. !!det!!
It may be a minority sending tickets to DTG support. But there must be a lot of people which is just stopping to play the game (and buying DLCs)
If you go to the Steam OoM threads, specially the one most posted, you find users with W7, W8.1 and W10 of all versions experiencing the issue., with many different rigs, some very new 8th, 9th generation processors, some old enough.
"All of them" are telling DTG that they did not experience any problem with OoM in TS2019.

Additionally there is the other sync error when clicking the WS items from the WS tab, still 2 months after the release.

You lock the threads and you are telling DTG, all is OK.

Well, there ain't one. As DTG cannot replicate it on their many different types of computers how are they going to solve it? They have also tried different soundcards and they still didn't get it on any of their computers. I have a game which a small minority couldn't finish a particular mission hence couldn't finish the game so the developers said as we cannot replicate the error on any of our computers we cannot fix it and left it at that.

This is why BETA testing outside of DTG is important. Testing on many more computers with different characteristics. There is a whole group of people who have been banished to their room through no fault of their own. This happens almost every time there is an update, some people become disenfranchised and the game becomes unplayable. I know that if this was affected a lot of you, you would be most vocal in pursuing, even demanding an answer. DTG needs to modify its Q&A both for DLC and Base game updates to help prevent this from happening. I realize that nothing can be 100% sure but they need to be a bit more proactive. DTG has been bitten by this before.

I am merely speculating here but that's what we do best on almost all forums however I suspect the reason that DTG claims they can't duplicate this is because they only have THEIR content on THEIR machines with clean installs so the problem may not show up. I will guarantee I could make it show up on one of THEIR computers by merely working on a paint job and repeatedly hitting the restart button enough times. It is as inevitable as the Sun rising in the morning.

Then why don't you ask them to fly you over to the UK so you can show them? !*roll-laugh*!

It's a minor annoyance in my world and not worth getting too riled up about but for them to say they can't duplicate it well here's a way. !!det!!

I am one of those fortunate TS players that do not experience Out of Memory crashes. And I always play in 64 bit.
But I was just able to reproduce one such a crash in my computer:
I went to Settings >>Graphics and unchecked the dynamic lights. Dynamic clouds become automatically unchecked as well and the contrast slide disappears. I saved and restarted TS2020.
Loaded a QD scenario with a heavy consist placed in Feather River Canyon (60 units).

Within a minute I got this:
OutofMemory.jpg

I am not saying that it´s the only cause for the numerous OoM problems, but in my computer it is. !*salute*!
I will be posting this in Steam. I hope it can help some people.

My Train Sim 2020 crashed last night while loading and I received the same Out of Memory error code. I did submit a ticket to DTG plus I validated files and removed all my Workshop files. After all my efforts, TS2020 still crashes before it finished the loading process. I've attached one of the log files in case anyone would like to look.

Nope. Whatever causes the crash didn't leave a trace in the log.

My Out of Memory issue is fixed. It was a corrupt Workshop scenario. Deleting it did the job.

Harry -- do you know the name of the scenario that caused the problem on your program of Train Simulator 2019? It would be helpful for anyone else will know the name of workshop scenario and will avoid to run as well too.
