Strange thing just happened. I noticed that the E8-dnb file had not been updated. So i updated that file. Went into railworks and placed the loco on the track with the engineer. Save it. Went back into railworks, All I saw on the tracks was the back coupler on the locomotive, and the back frame above the couplers. Nothing more of the locomotive. How Come.

Which file did you update BIN or the GEO?

I updated the geo file E8-dbn, in the IC-E8 engine folder. madmike1024 says that I need the E8 payware to make the locomotive work.

That is correct. You will need the payware. Usually when you just get the couplers its a sign that the BIN file cannot find a GEO. So I am interested with why you are seeing this when you just changed out a GEO file. GEO files cannot reference other GEO files (only textures). If the GEO was corrupt then you should get a SBHH error.

I don't know why I didn't get a SBHH error. So Now I need to know where I can get the E8 payware? So I can take take of this problem, and enjoy the E8 New Orleans repaint.

Thanks

Buzz that's not completely accurate. The repaint zip usually has the freeware files.

If its a repaint of a freeware model then yes, MadMike has occasionally included all the files needed. If the model is payware then, yes, the user must purchase the base model to get the GEOs.

Ok, I paid for the payware E8 S04. How do I get the S04 payware that I paid for. I have not received anything from Britkits?

Mr Cowen will send you an email with the download link and the password.

Give him some time, he is on the other side of the pond.

I just got the download link from Dickwith the payware file with the password. Quick question I downloaded the file. I have a RWP file, which i know how to install that ok. I also have a Update-manally load with a cabview & engine file. Would i install those 2 files after I install the rwp file.
i assume that these 2 files would go onto the E8 payware engine and cabview folder?

Thanks

Correct. Install the RWP first. Consider the update files as patches.

I got the E8A locos to working, but when I click on the E8B units, all I am getting is a black boxs front and rear. No B units. Also the manually updates, which folder do they go into the E8 default or the E8-Ic folder.
