I also opened a ticket with Steam. Initial response to this issue is not helpful - Steam's response is basically trying to wash their hands of it and place blame on RSC. RSC says its a steam issue. I'm sure it will get sorted eventually...but it must be a tough problem for steam to fix if they're trying to ignore it.

Now is an excellent time for anyone who purchased his masterpiece to go to its steam store page and download and digest the manual...wow, this looks good. I didnt realize just how detailed it is....! !!*ok*!!

While I am not one of the chronic gripers about Steam, events like this certainly do make me think that RW needs to crack the whip a bit more often.

I'll keep you posted ... !*don-know!*

Steam blamed RW???!!! Every time I tell RSC about it (I often find out first), they say it's a Steam problem, which I believe (I've seen Steam mess up their database before).

I am! **!!bang!!**

The last time this happened, in May, I was on Skype with RSC every day, passing on messages I got personally or through the forums and it took weeks before it was sorted. I hope I managed to placate at least the people who contacted me, but what about the hundreds who suffered without telling me? My rep must have been close to zero for a while there.

Hi Tom,

I'm talking to RSC right now. Matt asked me to ask you to forward your message directly to him. I'll send you a pm with his email address.

Mine hasn't D/L either and it's been since the sale began when I bought it. I looked last night and they dinged my credit card so I am sure the sale went through.

Interesting...

Do you know how if you navigate to DLC you already own, you see a green bar across the DLC page that says something to the effect of "You already own this." ? Now the RS11 and Consolidation do not display this bar for me - but they do still show up in my purchased DLC list. Looks like steam is getting quite confused now.

The last time this happened (May) it took some people more than a week to receive the goods. *!rolleyes!*

Steam just downloaded something 30 mb in size but not either of the DLC. Actually, sorting the files by date, nothing appears to have been updated.

I wonder if...this has something to do with that small update a few days ago that caused many people's installers to go nuts in a loop? Because I'm one of those people who deleted the clientregistry.blob prior to even trying to launch steam and afterward, didnt get any downloads of anything, and didnt have any known problems. Perhaps those of us who tried to head this fiasco off didnt get some important update?

I'd try a complete uninstall/reinstall of steam if I knew that wouldnt mess things up further...does this sound like a possible plan?

I am not currently at my game computer, so this is from memory...Instead of uninstalling/reinstalling of Railworks, you need to first "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." This will check that all your DLC is installed and nothing is missing. Steam keeps track of all your purchases on their server.

This will check that all your DLC is installed and nothing is missing. Steam keeps track of all your purchases on their server.

Go to Steam main page. Right click TS2013/Railworks Game button in the games list and then navigate to Properties. Then choose Confirm Local Files (or Content) option in the dropdown. It may take an hour or two to complete, depending on how much content you have purchased already from the Steam Store. RSC will then tell you how many files will be downloaded to replace the missing or corrupt files. This download of missing files will happen the next time you restart Railworks.

I hope this helps...

Steam > Library > Train Simulator 2013 > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache

... but I don't think it'll help. I've seen threads on other forums, where people say they tried that and it didn't work. I think the cache verification only checks the integrity (some kind of MD5-type check) of the local files, i.e. files that have already been downloaded. Steam keeps track of your purchased DLC (assuming it was bought from Steam) through some other means and should automatically download anything that's not yet downloaded - this happens, for example, when you reinstall TS2013 and go online in Steam.

Thanks OlPaint; normally a verify cache would work, but it does not in this situation. That was one of the first things I tried. The problem is deeper than that it seems.

But what I was suggesting is uninstalling/reinstalling the steam client software. But...after doing some reading I dont think this will help either.

Thanks Mrennie for the clarification. I did say my explaination was from Memory...which has been know to fail as I am an Ol Gray Fxxt. !*roll-laugh*!

The "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" has forced a DLC purchase to show in my Collection screen in the past. Sorry it did not work for you, MR.
