Since there are no real scenarios on this route just load the one that works and then move to the location you want to start at.

Is this complete or will more have scenery added?

As stated in another thread on this forum, this route is simply a scenery upgrade to part of an existing route. I uploaded it because some had indicated that they would be interested in it "as is". It is not complete; I have done the scenery on about half of the existing route. I may do more at some point, but I've had enough of it for now. I did not touch the existing scenarios.

Thanks, that explains it. I was worried that my download was corrupted.
From what I read, it is supposed to be mainly a coal route, so with the great DRGW repaints recently published and a few coal hoppers it shouldn't be too difficult to make our own scenarios!

I do hope that you finish scenicing the rest of the route. You do have an eye for it. I especially like the gravel berms on the roads, a nice touch. Very few issues. I found one signal set that was not changed to USS2 and a minor amount of floating shrubery. Some speed limits should be reduced as 60 mph on curvy sections is pushing the limit with consist tilt. But as I said , well done!

Big thank you for doing this and hope when you have rested you feel like doing more as it brings this excellent route to life. I transferred a couple of my scenarios from the original version over and they worked fine.

Thank you again.

Here's how all of my switches look. I have all ScaleRail packs, and I verified they're installed properly. None of the switches are formed properly, I'm missing the ground throw (milk bottle) and when I try to edit the track (to relay the switch so the frog is formed correctly) I get a SBHH. I have all of the required assets (according to the readme). I've also tried re-installing scalerail, which doesnt fix anything.

I guess I'll have to pass on this route for now until a patched release is uploaded - its too bad, its got really nice scenery.

I do not have any of these issues. Perhaps a corrupted download or some assets missing. There were a few auto turnouts missing thw switch motors (easy to fix) and blocked flangeways at crossovers (also easy to fix). RW tools listed NO missing assets for me. Scenarios are best to be delete and recreated. Also scenarios from previous version should work (free roam). The only track changes I could find is the sub of scalerail bridge rail for original track in some areas.

Here's what RW tools reports I'm missing - none of which is included with the Tennessee Pass download. Hmm... Where can I obtain these? Its saying they're KUJU related assets, yet they're not default assets. *!question!*

I re-downloaded everything, and reinstalled everything, still have the same problems, so its not on my end. The route is missing assets. I found a few of the junction items in the P&LE download, but cannot locate any of the other missing assets. And the one's I did find did not seem to help anything. Also, I know how to fix the broken switches by either a) moving a diverging section away, then joining it back, and welding, b) split and weld, or, c) re-lay the track. For some reason though, I cannot fix them no matter what I try.

Oh well, enough of this **!!bang!!**

My hat's off to you guys who got it to work, I guess I dont have enough magician in my blood. This is why I'm not too interested in releasing my B&O Lake Sub route - it works on my end, but I dont want to deal with any support challenges for those who'd download it.

OK, here is a wild guess. These assets are from the original RW2 and are not part of the base RW3.

Hi PapaXpress,

I obviously don't know for sure but i think you may have hit the nail on the head, i have given up worrying about these switches not being right as i said in another post, i can't see them very well from the loco cab,

As its such a great route IMO i am enjoying myself learning about inserting scenery from where Marc left off and boy i really have great appreciation for those route builders! i have spent the last two afternoons working my way along the route and i still have many more to look forward to,

What i have learnt is as i run in the cab, only items that can be seen close by and distant hills covered with trees helps to make it easier to continue along the route, probably stating the obvious :D

So come on you lads, don't give up on this route, the base work has already been done and if we keep on about it Marc might get motivated to carry on one day!! *!lol!*

Cheers,

Roger.

Well, I got it all figured out!

I found most of the missing assets from a backup of my old RW2 install.

Then, I decided to clean up the Tennessee Pass file structure a little.

1) Removed needless Blueprint Route Loading entries in the Route Properties.xml

2) Moved the referenced "Eagle Ridge" texturing.bin file to Developer\Tennessee Pass\Environment\Terrain folder

3) Created a Route Template. The download is missing this important file because it references the CSX Mainline file. Therefore, I made my own Tennessee Pass template and also put this in Developer\Tennessee Pass\templateroutes folder.

4) Added a route loading screen in Developer\Tennessee Pass\templateroutes folder.

5) Updated the Route Origin to be at Minturn.

6) Updated weather to use default KUJU weather

7) Fixed the US-WOOD-LOW-MOTOR track rule set so it displays Percent gradient instead of 1inX.

What would be the best way to distribute this to those who are interested? It really only updates and moves a few files.

Glad you got it straightened out. I am certainly interested in updates, I am just concerned with all fragmentation of these patches coming out.

That is great news. I wonder how your version compares to Otto's? He seems to have a working version as well. For a while there I thought I was the only person not able to get it to work. So in the end there was some bad references in the code? I would be interested in a copy as well.
