What settings are you using in TS? Everything on max? To save some RAM you can reduce the scenery quality (one step should be enough) and try to fly over the area again.

I don't know if you have ever used logmate or not but if you can make it crash just by starting a Cresson perhaps you can try that and see what it says. I presume you have run RWTools to see if anything is missing? Also you might try a cache verify and see if anything seems to be missing.
One last thing to try to isolate this issue is to adjust all your settings to real low resolution and see what happens.
