Well, this pack here only edits the audible portion of the sound in the .bin files meaning it does not replace any sounds at all. That pack changes how far and how loud you hear the sounds.

Your problem is that you downloaded a sound replacement pack for the P42DC and they do not work. Can you tell me if you hear any sounds at all, or do you just hear the default sounds?

Well, do you remember the pack you downloaded and installed? Did it have sound files included? (.dav or .wav)

You have the pack installed, and installed correctly, right? Without being able to look at the .bin files myself, I'm not sure what else I can do for you. You can easily attach the .xml files here using the "Upload attachment" tab below.

So now we are using the DTG Miami P42DC? My directory to the file you are referencing: \Assets\DTG\Miami\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\P42DC

The sound enhancement you are trying to use is for which of the three P42DC models: RSC, GTraX, or DTG? I'm starting to get confused here...

I have all 3 P42DC's Gtraxx,DTG Maimi,RSC. the all sound the same defaults.I would buy the P42DC's Sound upgrade but cannot afford them.Audio Shack has one so dose Jdesigns.

The sound upgrade you are trying to use is for what model/models? If the sound upgrade is for the DTG Miami P42DC, then it will not work for the RSC version unless you alias the .bin file name in the right place so that the RSC version reads the DTG version, and so on... Is there any possibility you can just upload the .proxyxml and .xml files here so I can look at them? That would probably help, because if something is not looking in the right place I can try and fix it. If everything is alright in the .bin files, then your problem lies solely on the audio files themselves.

Do you remember if the sound upgrade you used replaced the default sounds? If so, the names should not have change for any of the sounds themselves, only the audio would have changed.

No I do not have that plus I cannot afford any add on's now wish I could though.
