Challenger Headlight wont stay on?

Unread postby gkbaldwin » Sun Mar 31, 2013 9:37 pm

Hi all;

I got around to using the Challenger V2 from RSC. All seems to work except that the headlight will not stay on. When I push the H key the light comes on and immediately goes off. The rear light works correctly. No matter what I do I cannot get the headlight to stay on. Are other folks seeing this problem. I did a search but did get a hit. I also did another download from Steam, but got the same results. The Bigboy works fine and not seeing this on other locomotives, only the challenger.

Looking for a resolution......Gerry

Did you try it with the HUD?

No, I had not tried the HUD. I just tried it and it did work. Not sure why the HUD works and hitting the "H" key wouldn't.

Anyway problem resolved.

Thank you, Gerry

If you're pushing the <H> key (i.e., maintaining pressure for more than an instant, your keyboard's repeater function may be too sensitive. Take a look at your keyboard's settings? And do, as someone else suggested, try using the F4 HUD. If the same thing occurs with the HUD, you may be due for a cache verification.
