WJ Sound

Unread postby CSX2057 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 8:31 am

I have an issue with the WJ sound I installed. I followed the instruction but all I hear is the PerfectWheel_2_1.wav. Nothing else from the WJ Sound/Wagons. I open the Filter Object checked the WJ Sound. Nothing. Am I missing something?

These are from the default stuff so they should be working with no special stuff being done. The most common error in installing this stuff is to put the files that are supposed to go into the audio\railvehicles\and so forth into the RailVehicle folder itself. I'm at work so I don't have the whole path but that's the first place I would look.

I was just thinking there is something funny about the test track. I can't remember but it's something about the fact that it thinks it's in Europe so some sounds won't work unless you have something else checked but I can't remember off hand what it is. I had trouble getting a horn to work one time and somebody finally told me I had to have something ticked. The easiest thing might be to try them on some us route. Did you use the aut installer or did you do it manually?

Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagons. In there you should see the wagon freight sound file and if you just installed it it should show today's date.

The stuff should all be in the right place then. Let me know. We'll get it to work.

I got it working now. The only thing I missed was

4. Navigate to; Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagons.
5. In the Wagons folder you will see a folder named; Bin Files v.2
6. Open folder, make copy of contents and paste into the Wagons audio folder.
7. These bins set the path for the sounds.

Its working now.
