Well, sorry to say that I'm not the only one with issues...When RSC announced the 2013 update, I took Steam offline at home and have not got back online at all. So I have a clean install of TS2012. At work, I have the latest (and cache verified) TS2013 and so far, I can create blueprints and export only at home. At work I get the "login to steam" or it just hangs when I run the asset editor, the blueprint editor does load, but no preview or export, ConvToGeo.exe throws a tantrum. At work I'm running Win XP and at home I'm running Win 7, 64 bit.

Anybody know a way to get the TS2013 to install on my home machine without destroying my good copy of TS2012? So I can test out the Win 7 vs. XP theory...?
Thanks.

Rename your good copy of TS2012 to something like TS2012.org. Do a verify cache and it will download a new copy of TS2013.

It does look like RSC is correct, when I downloaded the TS2013 on my home machine running Win 7, everything works as its supposed to, blueprints, asset editor and exporting all functioning normally. I guess now we wait for the EULA issue to get fixed before sharing files...

Sorry to dig up an old post, but RSC have come up with a temporary work around for Win-XP-32 users not able to run the Asset Editor. Matt sent the following info earlier in the week:

1) Go in to the main railworks folder, and create a file "steam_appid.txt"
2) Inside that file, just put the number "24010" and save it.

Steam must be started prior to running the utilities. Worked straight away here - I've been without the RW AE since TS2013's release, instead relying on backup copies of RW or using the old RS version. !**duh*!!

This is not an official fix - it's been one that Matt at RSC and I have been trying to identify for some time. Please raise your glass and give a cheer for their perseverance. !*cheers*!
Cheers!
