AI Switches

Unread postby BlueLight » Tue Mar 05, 2013 10:13 am

I am having problems with AI switches opening and closing while the train is going over them. I have set the path in the world editor and still have the problem. Anyone know of a solution?

Most probably, the dispatcher sees your engine having reached its destination and needs to throw the switch for the next one. I guess it doesn't see the whole train.

You should add a destination marker far enough from the switch that the consist clears it, and add a "stop at" instruction for this marker.

I'll try that. Speaking of destenation markers is there anyway to delete markers once they have been placed in the world editor?

Not at the scenario level. You can only add markers.
This is why route builders should use as little destination markers as possible, and make them very short, so there,s room left on sidings for scenario-level destination markers.
