Speed Hud not accurate

Is it just me? or is anyone else having bug issues with speed accurate on your hud?

Its like the speed can only be detected from the rear instead from the lead engine. When ever I accelerate on the amtrak, it gives me the exact speed on the computer screen, and the hud gives me the speed from the rear. Its really messing me up on the standard scenarios. Any chance to fix that problem?

It's not a problem. Think about this for a minute. As soon as the engine clears the switch off a siding you can just rock on to the new speed. (Not). You need to have the last car clear the slower speed before you can speed up. That's the REAL way.

exactly. When you need to reduce speed, it changed from the first car. And uses the last car to time the speed increase. If you think thats bad, use the AEM-7-whose cab signalling shows BOTH signal speed and track speed- with the Speed Control activated. You'll be in a 110, and if your signal shows 45, your speed alerter will blare until you brake at Full Service and will have to stay below 49(it gives a 4mph grace) otherwise the alarm goes off again. After about 30 seconds with no brake, you brakes bail on you!

I thought it was an error at first too. But after a year of running it that way, I figured it was supposed to be that way. If you want the head-end speed, hit F4 or F3 until there are no HUD's. Then press F5, and you will get a reading from your engine status, throttle percentage, reverser, speed measurement, all 3 brakes and the RPM's. If you press F5 a second time, you will get readings from the AMP's applied, brake cylinder pressure, main reservoir pressure, and a couple of other things! Pretty cool really!

If it were like a real train, you'd be able to see what the rear and the front of your trains speeds are. That is, if you have a DPU or an EOT device.

Hmm, I though was a bug or something. Everything makes it clear now. Thanks!

If I'm coming up to increase the speed limit like lets say 55 mph. Do I go 55? or ???? I want to prevent a warning overspeed sign popping up on my hud screen.

yes. you need to be at the speed by the time you reach the marker.
