The Great Wall of Colorado

Unread postby 5292nate » Mon Jan 14, 2013 1:33 pm

Hi guys. I am trying to start a route. The BNSF Front Range Sub. I have downloaded my data converted it to .bil, converted bil to hgt, and attempted to import the data into the world editor. All I get is the big wall you see here. What the heck is up with this?

Are you using ReDem or importing the digital elevation data using the Rail Works World Editor?
Cheers,

I had this same problem when I started my first route. If you are using ReDEM, what did you set the Range (tiles) number to under Suggested DEM Bounds? I always set mine high (5) and if it's too much, ReDEM will let you know. That has solved the Great Wall problem for me. Also, if your path in Google Earth (if that is what you used) isn't long enough then this may happen too.

I'm using the editor importing feature. I'm kinda confused with ReDEM. I'll try it in the next couple of days though.
