I have a slightly different probblem with the engines in this thread.
Only just purchased them in the last couple of days so seem to have avoided the unplaceable loco problem, They both work fine
but...
SD70ACE I cant find the "Colorado Ski Train" Scenario
SD40 W I cant find any scenarios, despite the manual alluding to them.
SD40 W I dont seem to have the wagons included with this pack (although Ive probably got them as part of something else as they seem familiar)

So I'm wondering whether its just me (with the first 2 issues anyway), I verified cache last night with no missing files just to be sure.

SD70ACE... Colorado Ski Train is a Career Scenario is indeed there in my installation.

SD40W CN Does not come with any scenarios.

SD40W CN Does not come with any wagons.

SD40HN NS comes with wagons.

Recheck the included manuals.

Hope this helps,
Brian

Odd, just rechecked incase it was me not looking hard enough and I definitely only have 1 career scenario for the SD70ACE; "Front and Back"

My apologies... Another senior moment. You are correct. The Wide Nose CN SD40 scenarios are in the Cajon Pass Route. 3 Standard and a Free Roam.

The cars are there... In the Scenario Editor Content Selector Flyout, they are located under the RSDL/USWAGONS1 Header. The Wide Nose CN SD40 is located under the RSC Header.

The Colorado Ski Train Career Scenario is located on the Castle Rock Route... The Front and Back Scenario is located on the Cajon Pass Route.

Again my apologies for the initial erroneous information. hope I got it correct this time around.

Thanks for looking, Yes you're right about the wagons, I didnt think of looking there *!embar*! , so that just leaves me with the scenarios missing (I checked again....again :D )

I'll email RSC and see what they say.

There are no scenarios with the WideNose. Just the three cars.

Check the manual that came with the CN WN SD40. Then look in both the Cajon Pass and Castle Routes, there wide nose scenarios, both standard and Free Roam... at there are on my system. I did not create these scenarios or DL them...

EDIT: Ok I see the problem here... When I obtained this Pak earlier this year, it indeed did come with the scenarios as indicated in the manual that came with the Pak. The CN SD40W Wide Nose available at the present time in the Steam Store does not come with any scenarios. SO RSC must updated this DLC and in the process removed the scenarios.

Just had a reply back from RSC (working late :D )

"The manual for the SD40 is incorrect, I have notified the content team to get this rectified. "

Oh well *!sad!*

but theyre looking into the other issues with the SD70
(missing scenario, quick drive only with light engine & invisible walkway behind driver in cab view)

The manual with the new WideNose download doesn't list any scenarios.

First page of my sd40-2 cn w manual

Thank you for installing the Canadian National SD40-2 Wide Nose add-on for
RailWorks! Supplied in this add-on are a brand new Wide Nose SD40-2 with custom
cab and a selection of new freight cars including an 89ft Flatcar, 4-Chute Covered

The manual doesnt actually list them which is why in my original question regarding this issue I said the manual "alluded" to them.

Follow-up:
After the upgrade to TS2013 my Wide-nose and High-nose DLCs were not showing up in the Collections screen, even though they were available in the Standard scenarios, although without a thumbnail picture.

After a ninja update this week, they now show up in the Collections screen. Selecting them puts you in the Quick Drive screen.
