Another wierd error message

Unread postby 5292nate » Mon Dec 17, 2012 9:54 pm

Another wierd error in RW. I open the game in an attempt to run it and didn't even make it to the menu, before the attached error message came up. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?

From what I recall from other forum posts, the error is one associated with relay scenarios.
Cheers!

I have no relay scenarios. Or any steam friends.

Mine is also on startup, bought te SD45, and can't play it !*not-ok*!

It only gets to th big RS.com logo with the other sponsors and contributors, then nothing. I minimize to desktop, and it shws the bad xml file error.

You may have to reinstall your Steam client. Backup your "steamapps" folder first then once Steam is reinstalled, paste that folder back in. Saves a lot of downloading. I've been having a boatload of trouble with Steam the past few days. Servers are probably slammed with all the sales going on. IDK.

This is likely caused by a corrupted scenario file.
I had exactly that error until I deleted the scenarios that I was working on, that had become corrupted because of a (now fixed) bug in the scenario editor.
