Here's my latest quirk report: having established all of the Player Train's instructions, I'm well into peppering the scenario with AI traffic, trying to remember to limit myself to one new train at a time. After adding the 15th AI character a couple of days ago, a very early AI addition suddenly started crashing -- at least, according to the scenario-ending report (see screenshot below).

After trying several things in vain, I finally took another look at the error message and realized that the crash supposedly happened at two different map locations. Some careful investigation revealed that there was no crash at all (which I should have known immediately, since there was no "death spiral" image involved). Instead, my latest AI could not find a path because an earlier AI's starting position blocked its way to an exit portal. Not by much, really: the old train sat a bit too close to a switch through which the new one had to pass). Once I moved the old AI away from that switch (it will eventually wind up stored in a portal, like an actor waiting in the wings to make his entrance), the false crash went away and I could proceed with my fiendish labors.
By the way, the AI train that had supposedly been crashing was actually a switcher working parallel to the player train and was in no way involved in the standoff that actually caused the problem.
Am I having fun? You bet! Look for this scenario soon both here at RWA and in Steam Workshop (I hope).
