TaD NEC Series 2

I am having problems with the Driving Home for Christmas scenario where the Rescue engine is hitting the stalled train too hard and creating a collision condition. One time I pulled onto the slow track and just shut down and waited. Watching the 2-D display, the rescue engine appeared to kiss up but maybe didn't quite get to the stalled engine. All other times, at least four, it has slammed into the stalled engine. I've looked at the scenario in the editor but I don't know the mechanism to make an AI engine stop at a particular location. There is a yellow line extending each way from the stalled train which may represent a retarder, but that's just a guess.

I didn't see any other post concerning this scenario and it's been out long enough to make me believe it's possibly unique to me. I made sure I had Version 1.1 by reloading the pack. Anybody have any thoughts as to how they got through the initial steps of this scenario?

I have had similar problems where the AI train is going to fast to make a good couple and ends up derailing. I edited the scenario by placing a scenario specific siding just before the couple point, and added a command for the AI train to go via at zero miles per hour at the new siding. When I play the scenario, the AI stops momentarily at the new siding, and then couples to the consist successfully. You may want to try doing this also for your issue.
