Player path turnouts set incorrectly after editing scenario

Unread postby MattW » Sun Feb 12, 2012 7:49 pm

I'm working on some scenarios for Castle Rock. In my scenario, the player has to move from Monument Engine Servicing to Monument 1 (station). Before I added AI traffic, the blue line on the F3 and 9 maps showed the correctly cleared route through the Monument yard ladder onto the main. I then added some AI traffic which terminated (long after the player should have left) beyond the Monument yard, and starts long after the player should have started. I again tested the scenario and discovered that the backing move from the southbound main track over the northbound track couldn't happen because the "points were locked" by the AI traffic. Not figuring out any quick solutions, I terminated all AI traffic at the Glen Park Portal which mostly solves the solution. I can now move the train onto the correct tracks as expected however, it seems most of the yard ladder turnouts are set against my train. I can run over them at 15mph without derailing however, but the blue path line would certainly help users to know where they have to go with this scenario. Is there anything I can do to force the path line?
Thanks,
Matt

Castle Rock at Monument is one of the hardest to set AI trains because, among many problems, close to the bridge there is no manual junctions to help you set the path manually, the incoming track has no option to diverge before and from the yard exit etc. etc. etc. Even placing AI beyond Glenn Park (and the portals at there) usually don't help.

About the junctions against, if they are manual there is no risk of derailment once they change when train pass over, unless is blockeck by another AI. When approaching a junction against with a short blue path (up to the junction) once the player change the junction (G or Shift+G) he can see the blue path beyond the swtich.
