INFECTED FILE DOWN-LOAD

Unread postby mountainrail2012 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 12:46 am

I just got through down-loading "uswagonpack01" from "elicense.com"/railsim/store, for outdated RailSimulator products and my AVG program went nuts as soon as I tried to start the installation . This is the first time in 12 years that this has happened!!! How do we contact any one at there web site (railsimulator.com) to get this resolved ?

It's most likely a "false-positive".
But you can find RSC's support email and try to contact them that way if you'd like to let them know about it, which you can find on their site here: http://www.railsimulator.com/support.php

Ken,

Go to Railsimulator.com home page. At top of page is an index bar with HELP listed. Click HELP, go to bottom of dropdown list and click CONTACT US and follow your nose. You've done your duty. :D

Thank you.

Thank you for the feed back. I emailed both companies support sites late last nite. The only reaction came from the company that was responsible for electronically shipping the product. So I wait for RailSimulator to respond. Ken C.

I dropped AVG a few years ago due to false positives every few months with some of my online games. Try Avast! free. http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

I also recommend Microsoft Security Essentials which I have used since Beta 1. It is also free.

And just to give you some comparisons...

I'll back PapaXpress on his recommendation for Microsoft Security Essentials. I've been using it for a couple of years and have no complaints with it.

Of course, when using the Internet, nothing can compare to a little good old fashioned common sense and learning about the nasty's out there. *!!wink!!*
