lost Trainworks

Hi All
I have lost Trainworks. when I click on the desktop icon the " Preparing to launch Train simulator 2012' window comes up but never goes on from there,I have tried everything I can think of including a reinstall and I haven't been able to contact Steam Support either,any ideas?

How long did you wait once you clicked on the RW icon? It takes a few minutes for me once Steam says it's starting RW. Then another couple minutes after I click on Start. I usually make a sandwich.

Have you verified the game files? That should be first before a reinstall. Steam servers are totally slammed right now with all the sales going on. May have to do a verify several times until no more missing files are found. I did it 3 times today after I downloaded Donner Pass.

If none of that works, make a copy of your "steamapps" folder, then uninstall and reinstall the Steam client. Paste that folder back and all your games will be there.

I had that issue for a little while but seems to have fixed itself, all i did is after steam connects then seems to die do not cloce it just double click on the railworks icon again and it opens, well did for me good luck

Launch RailWorks from the Steam-Client Library rather than a desktop-icon.
Also, recall reading that some Steam-bought games won't Launch from Desktop Icons if you don't first have the Steam-client running.

I,m back running ,not sure what the problem was,it may have been related to a Nvidia card problem which causes the resolution to go to low on start up,which prompted me to stop shutting PC down,just to sleep mode,after i tried shutting down, Railworks launched.Another PC mystery
