What happened to my SW1200

Unread postby pkz19 » Sat Sep 13, 2025 8:47 am

So I started working on the Industrial Harbor and Steel Route again and should have it finished pretty soon, but I tried loading the SW1200 I was working on for it and it's stuck in snowy weather mode and all the exhausts are stuck; they don't change when I press Shift-E.

How do I fix this?

Have you tried loading it elsewhere to determine for sure it's in the loco not the route or scenario?

Yes, I have a "test track" route that I use when I'm making repaints that's literally just a single strip of track without any other terrain so it loads most quickly. Same issue there.

Sorry for being a PITB but one more question I should already have thought of. Which model is this?

So I deleted the old Geo files for the IHSX model and replaced them with the stock, and it worked.

By the way, is there a method for locking things like the exhaust and handrails for a version of the SW1200?

Here ae a couple of suggestions. First swap out the GEO and make sure it didn't get goofed up somehow. Next take the DRG texture, put a .xx after it and copy and paste your texture into the DRG one and see if that works OK. My hunch is the problem is in the bin file or InputMappers. Most likely in the bin file. I can't tell you how many times I have fat fingered into a problem with one letter being out of place.
Oops. Passing entries. I didn't even know you could change the handrails. How do you do that?
Let me look in the bin and see if I can see how to lock the stack.
