Assets Have Disappeared

Roads and some buildings have disappeared from my route in one area. Please excuse me for I am not knowledgeable in some terminology. I can run the mouse over where roads used to be. The outlines for the roads show up yellow, and turn red when clicked on. So the road is there, but I can't see it. There seems to be no trace of the buildings. On the rest of my route the roads and buildings are fine. What have I done?

Do you have a recent backup? Look and see if they are there on the backup. If they are check the tile number and replace that scenery tile and the road tile see if it shows up now.

Ensure your scenery density is set to max. At the main menu click on Settings, Advanced, Scenery Density

And ensure your editor detail level is at max. In the editor lower left, Options Panel, set Detail Level = 10

I had done the remedies you suggested Buzz. I am sorry, I should have said so in my post.
I am sending pics of my problem. Hopefully you can help me fix it. I think I have a backup, but I am not sure how to bring it to life.

Right click on the two yellow lines and see if the vertical arrows show up. I think your road might just be underground.

There is a corruption in the road ribbon bin.
Fix 1. Cut the ribbon section in two. One side will reappear. Delete 1 Section then the other and then select undu 2x. The road should reappear.
Fix 2. Delete the errant sections, reboot and then relay.

I have had this happen on numerous occasions it's not catastrophic, just disconcerting.

Friendly reminder: NOW is the time to start with daily full Backups on your machine.
