Uncoupling issues - Butler Turn Scenerio B&LE

Unread postby ozinoz » Sun Apr 15, 2018 6:56 pm

As the subject suggests, it relates to the first part of the Butler Turn scenerio on the B&LE route. I can not get the cars to stay uncoupled, as bizarre as that sounds. I am at the C&H interchange, where the rear 10 cars have to be cut so the empty hoppers can be interchanged. The issue is that no matter what i seem to do, the rear cars keep "re-coupling" to the main consist. I have tried setting hand brakes, setting train brakes etc - they uncouple fine, but when you go to pull forward to get to the siding, the rear cars and caboose have reattached. I have turned off auto coupling in the game set up istelf to no avail, but it is really just annoying the you know what out of me **!!bang!!**

I haven't seen this mentioned else where, so it needs to be something I am doing, or not doing, but I just cant think of what. !DUH!

I personally haven’t had this problem.... but I’m far from normal.

Have you loaded this patch? It might help you and I find it is definitely more realistic: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... ccessories

Watch this video and see if you can learn anything that might help you: https://youtu.be/1m5PMuHQLgo

Yes I tried that scenario and the same happens to me. It is not the first time that I have come across this issue. What I do in these situations is to slowly move forward and while doing so uncouple the wagons. Make sure you try uncoupling first then moving off as you might get an operational error code and lose some points if you worry about those kind of things.

Thanks for the patch info - had already installed that. Hadn't seen the video though, which was interesting but didn't shine a light on anything. I am going to try Trev's tip and try and pull the pin a second time while very slowly pulling forward. If that doesn't work, I might just have to rule a line through this one and move on... (as much as it annoys me *!!wink!!* )

*!!thnx!!*

I had a similar experience on that one, being a bit creative with the move and timing as you are considering I was able to get through it though.
