New Peninsula Corridor extension crashes game when loading

I just bought the new peninsula corridor Gilroy extension route, but every time I try and load it the game crashes. I have tried a full reinstall of both the new extension and the original route, but nothing is working! Is anyone else experiencing this problem, and have they found a way to fix it?

Please start LogMate.exe from the Railworks folder before starting the game.

It should parse the loading process of Railworks, routes and assets and might help in finding the error. LogMate.exe can seriously slow down the loading process though.
