Searchlight Simulations and AI trains

Unread postby Brickrail782 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 10:52 pm

I may have encountered a weird bug of sorts with AI trains that use Searchlight Simulations engines. GEVOs can be heard running at full power(which is actually normal for AI traffic), SD70M-2s/ACEs are running at low idle constantly, and SD70M/MACs aren't making any sounds at all. I haven't heard what the Dash 8/9s are doing because I haven't seen any AI traffic that uses them. Is there something that can be changed to fix this problem?

*EDIT* The SD70M/MACs are actually running at low idle, but the trains I've seen them on usually have GEVOs grouped on with them, making the MACs almost impossible to hear.

You have to use DP variants on AI trains. The MAC and Dash 9 packs don't have DP variants yet, but will in the near future.

That's kind of obnoxious you know. The person with a answer might not just live on here like apparently you do. If you are so hot to get answers to some of these questions I suggest you say...oh I don't know.....try using the PM or send them a e-mail maybe.

Sorry, I for some reason get worried if no one responds for a while. I'll stop spamming.

I work full time so you're better off forwarding Searchlight Simulations questions to our FB page so I get an active nptification on my phone.

Interesting as many workshop scenarios just utilize the ND versions of those locomotives. The Dash 9 and SD70 V2 packs don't have ND variants either so maybe those might be added into the pack as well.
