Steam Achievement - Will It Or Not Unlock? :D

Unread postby Janine » Mon Sep 28, 2015 2:32 am

Well, I hoped that this problem would belong to the past after so many yearly upgrades in TS, butt no ... still not. While previously non-working achievements now suddenly work (such as the MRCE U2 expert controls tutorial one), there are brandnew one which won't unlock, such as the "BR 155 - Couplings Performed" or the "Gas Turbine - 01. Tutorial Complete". That's just lame. I mainly play TS for the Steam achievements, I've cumpleted about 400 by now, there are 700 to get though. I would easily have 420 already if everything worked properly. :(

Steam achievements are hopeless. I have got some for locos I don't own and have got some from non steam routes locos.

I have never purposely tried to unlock an acheivement, nor do I intend to, but I find it odd that sometimes I will get one by simply going into a scenario and clicking on a loco. Is that the "Paid for showing up to work" acheivement?

Yes, and some like me earned them legitimately and then lost them later. Which is why I don't care anymore about the achievements. I just install the little fixes we have and enjoy the ride now.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
