Yes...
I remember when I was a kid watching S.P. trains, the signals used to show green when the block was empty and only changed color when a train was approaching. This made it easy to tell when we were crossing the tracks to tell if it was a good time to wait for a train.
Then at some point the S.P. seemed to change that, so empty blocks were red.
Then it was difficult to tell if a train was coming or not. Us kids would sit there and wait for nothing.

Most signals have checkboxs for their characteristics in the upper right flyout window.
One of the problems in routes, is signal sensors placed backwards at times.

You pretend to be the mysterious Dispatcher and preset switches based upon the anticipated arrival time of the train. The builtin Dispatcher has been faulty since the KUJU days-when it all started.

Do it on each switches where there's a interchange from Track 1 to 2. Try that and should turn signals to red instead of green all the way similar to ctc. Might fix your problems.

Can you explain this a little better? Thanks.

How do you get this to work in a Scenario? Also, won't this affect the path of the Player? How do you throw switches and have the player train switch them back to normal when approaching the control point?

I managed to switch them over to Red, but as soon as I got into my train, they switched back to green again, and yes this is being in Free roam, and I have AI's in the free roam scenario that are making movements. Why do they go back to Green? This isn't even after them passing, as soon as I entered the cab they did this.

You have to do it inside the scenario. Look carefully in the video as you can see in the editor i was in the scaenario. If you are not inside the scenario it won't save the switches that you threw. You must be in the scenario tools in order to save those switches

Basically you just contradicted yourself. !*hp*! I have to be in the scenario actually playing it, or do I have to be in the scnenario editor itself? I changed the switches then hit the "Play" button to begin the scenario, they seemed to be okay, until I went into my train and then they all went back to how they were before.

Also, could you provide me information as to how this does not affect the player train's path, and or AI's path?

Changing switches to make signals red is not realistic, if only we could change the signals themselves and not have to change switches.
Some of the older signals are usually off, and they turn on only if a train is in the block.

Yes, Buss, I assume you're talking about the Freeport Sub. I grew up on the CTC Aurora Sub in Oregon, not too far from where you're at, but all signals were off or red unless a dispatcher had lined a train through, as it stands to this day. I do wish TS2016/15/whatever was more CTC styled rather than the other one. I actually considered Run8 only for the realism in train control, not available in TS2016, like the CTC style of signaling control. And the fact you can break knuckles. I just find that enjoyable. I haven't purchased it, and I probably won't, but that's the main reason why I looked at it. TS2016 has better graphics, which I like also, and I THINK I can do more with it, and the editor is awesome. So I don't know. I wish you could control signals, more like a dispatcher could, creating a CTC style feel to the entire operation. Running a free roam with signal control would be so fun. Personally, (I'M WEIRD) I will jump in a train on a route that I made, and TRY to give myself a red signal, then make myself a track warrant, and once that's clear, give myself the light to head down yonder. Most of the time I can get it to work. Not always, but mostly.
