Installing physics mods in TS2015 Locos.

I read on one of the mod read me instructions that the folder you are putting the mod in should not be marked read only. I noticed on one of the Mods on the F59PHI physics mod, the Mod didn't seem to "take" , until I redid the installation with the read only box unchecked. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes updates frequently make everything read only. If you use RW Tools and try to do something, it tells you they are read only and will change them for you. If the folder is read only, then you can not write to it. Same with a individual file.

Did some research on this today by calling a fiend of mine that works for Microsoft. Turns out that on many versions of Windows, including 7 which I have, many files default to read only. So when you uncheck read only, and go back and look at it immediately after, it will be checked read only again. This does not stop you from writing to that folder or changing it's name, or overwriting files it contains, it's just some kind of weirdness in windows. There is a way to change it permanently , but not worth the trouble.
