♪ Told yo so ♫

That's why I said to use the function in RW-Tools.

It looked like it was working...really it did...

Now it's doing the same old thing again. !*hp*!

I'm convinced it's a Windows 8 thing - I've been looking at other forums with people having the same issue.

EDIT: Finally narrowed it down! Right Click, copy/paste does NOT work. But keyboard commands do work after the global permissions change to not be read only. I can live with that.

Ok, back on topic. *!!wink!!*

Some of the DLC actually do seem to work correctly when it comes to continuous fan sound in dynamic, like the Stevens Pass ES44. It uses a different setup and notch setup in the engine.bin file...not exactly sure how to move it all over correctly. I've tried the obvious Cut/paste job and it doesn't seem to work.

The BNSF ES44DC that comes with Stevens Pass is moderately scripted. Its dynamic brakes sound comes on and off without attack or decay and sounds like some vacuum cleaner, but the interlocked handles finally work. Its engine script will only work in other locomotives if file names/paths and control values exactly match and all other dependencies (child objects and shapefile nodes) are met.

Coal District's ES44AC is extensively scripted, and without access to the source lua files, we cannot change the scripts.

We have two options: write our own script with all functionallity included or repaint the locomotives. The first is probably easier, once a modular code base has been achieved it can be cut and pasted to requirement. When you create a new 3D cab, every control, switch, lever, gauge, light or display can be modeled and animated.
