UP Mega Pack Problems *FIXED*

Hello everybody, I recently came across a problem with some locomotives from a pack which had many UP locomotives. I seem to have the following problem with missing textures on the GP38-2's. Anybody know how to fix this?


Edit: Problem has been solved. You need the GP38-2 made by Justin Cornell to get the number board textures along with the sounds for the locomotive. Works perfectly fine now.

I would check the installation instructions for that pack.
You seem to be missing the numbers textures.

I just checked, it only has instructions on how to install and a list of what is included.

There's been more than just installing a .rwp with every repaint I've ever installed. I'll download it and check it out.

That's not entirely true. If the item is a stock Kuju item or is freeware there is nothing to prevent someone from including the GeoPcDx file. It appears that is what was done here. I have all the legacy stuff pretty much and all the numbers are there for me. Often re=painters in the interest of keeping the file size down refer things to another locomotive which the unwary may find is something they don't have. I'll go look and see if that's the case here.

I downloaded the file, and the readme.txt included is the same as what's at the download screen. I don't have the GP38 (or according to Buzz, may not need to get it?) so can't test that.

This is a big file with a lot of rolling stock. I see it's by "Amtrak505" who kinda left the Railworks scene a while back to pursue life in general. When he said he was leaving for a while, folks were begging him to upload his creations, in whatever "state" they were in, unfinished or not. Folks didn't care, they just wanted it. So Soren did. Could be there are a few problems in this pack, I don't know. It's a big pack to go thru and test each item.

Someone that knows more about fixing things like these missing numbers would have to take a look and see what's missing. I sure can't.

Yup, the problem on the GP38-2 is that the numbers are spelled out to be just plain UP. I have that loco so the numbering is happy. I have no idea where I got that one from. I can give a patch if this is still a problem.

Here is the patch. You need to go to assets\JCornell\Diesel\GP38-2\UPY\Engine\Textures. Place the GP38-2_digits.bin into this folder. It will ask you if you want to overwrite. Say yes. The numbers should now show up.

This issue has been fixed.

Just download this RWP File and you'll have those mixing textures :)
