TS 2014 / RW Tools

Unread postby richard957 » Sat Oct 05, 2013 1:20 pm

Good Evening

I have a strange scenario!
If I run TS2014 I have 12 routes on display.
If I run the RW Editor only 11 routes are shown.
The Donner Pass is then not available to check!

Any Comments will be appreciated!

BTW Congrats to the All Blacks that played a GREAT game!!! :)

Yes, that is normal. The DP route is now compressed.
You need to download the new version of RW-Tools.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for the help!, did that and updated to version 5.0.15 ?
Still only 11 routes in the list.
My actual problem is, that so many scenarios from the steam site require "other" stock!!!
I speak under correction that I saw somewhere some steps via RW Editor to overcome the problem as to "other" stock!
Any help / suggestions or links to the steps as to how to correct the "add-on stock", would be highly appreciated!
A big THANK YOU!

Using the scenario editor in RW-Tools (not the editor included in the game), it is possible to "swap" items of rolling stock.
It is relatively easy, sometimes long and tedious, depending on the amount of items you need to swap.

Also you cannot swap routes. If a scenario is made for Horseshoe Curve, then it won't work on another route, you need to buy Horseshoe Curve.

Thank you for the reply!
I do understand the logic around the diff routes & scenarios.
My problem is still in RW Editor I cannot see the route = DP! *!rolleyes!*

Ok here you go. Go into files and click on find all .ap files. Donner is the one with a whole bunch of zeros and then 32 and then a who bunch of more zeros. Highlight it and then tell it to unpack it with 7zip. After you do that it should show up on your route list.

Good Morning

Sorry for the late reply, I downloaded 7zip. Opened RW saw the list of AP-files I think about 6 of them with the 000000000003200000000000000000000.
I then highlighted that one and clicked on the 7Zip button. That was last night 20h48.
This morning at about 06h35 nothing had happened, is this such a large file?

Help would be appreciated as I am doing something wrong!

Thank you & have a nice day

Did you get to the page in 7zip where it showed to folder and one of the choices was extract? When you do that it asks you where you want to extract it to? It only takes a few seconds.

There is a video on this page that will show you what the page I'm talking about should look like.
