Scalerail Issue

Unread postby CSX2057 » Sat Jun 29, 2013 5:15 am

Just got me a new pc, running to the highest and love it! But as I checked back to my route I was making, the track switch is completely messed up. Here's the picture on what happened. Is there anyway to fix this issue without deleting the track and readding?

Have you cleared cache?

Either you have two different track rules, or two different track types (mainline, branch line, yard, etc.). If you use the select tool, the right-side flyout menu should indicate the track rules used, and if blank, then you may need to reinstall ScaleRail.
Cheers!

I have windows 8 now, that may be the issue for the track, umm I used all atsf mainline w1 and that didn't fix anything. I reinstalled....nothin. My guess I may have to uninstall then reinstall correctly and I'm not sure if that would help.

Win8 is not the issue. Listen to Hack.

Okay, I'm just double checking. I might try a different routine. I may replace the track back to sbb (cajon pass) then return the scalerail if all else fails.

Update:
Dang it! That didn't work either. There must be a way to get it to work! *!sad!*

hmm......idk if I have to reinstall the whole game.

I can't help you on your problem, but depending on how much 3rd party DLC you have I wouldn't recommend re-installing the game. I still haven't downloaded everything I want back in RW after 1.5 weeks of getting a new CPU. I would only do it as a last resort.

Indeed! This is a Track Rule problem, and I strongly suspect you just need to reinstall ScaleRail and nothing more. Basically the TrackRule blueprint you're using is currently referencing track that effectively doesn't exist.

I agree, this is most likely a track rule problem. Remember you can use the same track, but accidentally use a different rule.

If you find that this is the case see if this helps:

Nevermind I somehow got it workin. Not sure how it worked, I think one of the assets was missing so the atsf is back in the game. everything is back to normal now. Thanks guys for trying. I think when I installed that soo line that fixed the issue....I think. Sorry to post this thread.

That problem with the frog not rendering correctly, can sometimes be fixed by cutting and rewelding the track at all three ends of the switch.
It's not a fix 100% of the time, but it's worth a try since it's easier than relaying that whole section of track.
