Hi all - I'm new. I suspect this post will be helpful to others too in addition to my specific request here for help.
When it comes to computers, I'm an idiot. I am not tech-savvy in the slightest. When it comes to working within Train Simulator 2019, I'm actually quite proficient in creating both new routes and scenarios. But when it comes to everything else on my Windows 10 PC, such as computer lingo, understanding how things work, what I need and don't need, etc...I'm as useless as a basket of water.
All I want to do is add more authentic variety in rolling stock to my favorite routes such as the Vintage New Haven, B&O Kingwood Branch, G-Trax's B&LE, etc.
That's all I want. I know where to find it, but that's the extent. (like here, for example)
I've sifted through these forums somewhat and am overwhelmed by the vast swath of information and history of train and railroad simulators in the last twenty years. Clearly, I'm late to the party. It would be of great appreciation of someone could just give me a step-by-step on what I need to do without using computer jargon.
For example, even the 50 & 70 ton Hopper Mega Pack page has specific step-by-step instructions for what to do. But "Download the .zip file and save it in a secure place on your hard disk. Unzip the file using WinZip or WinRAR extracting the .RWP file" doesn't mean anything to me, let alone everything after that.
Can someone here please take the time to simplify what to do? I know this may be a tedious task but not everyone can be expected to be knowledgeable with computers...just like not everyone can be expected to be an auto mechanic.
