Australian Freight Railroads

I've been watching some YouTube videos on Australian freight operations. There seems to be 3 railroads that keep coming up: Pacific National, Qube, SSR. It also seems like they share trackage in certain areas. Is there any difference between the railroads? Commodities they haul and where? The equipment and operations are interesting, especially when compared to US operations. And their equipment is different... especially the EMD export dual cab cowl locomotives.

Gary, has DTG considered an Australian route? I know we have the New Zealand route, but an Australian route would be a nice addition. It seems those Trainz folks have a lock right now on Australian content.

There have been many cries out for Australian Railways to be in TSC (over in the DTG Forums) but to no avail. There seems to be a small group trying to bring a Queensland Railway to the game as this uses 3'6" gauge (same as New Zealand and South Africa - therefore available in the game) and signalling similar to that used in Britain (as the group are not 3D modellers and scripting scares them (and me)). Power to their elbows.
